How SCP works
A philosophy that becomes classroom practice.
Meaning, Identity, and Practice organize the learning experience: examine an idea, connect it with lived experience, and put understanding to work.
Soul refers to the whole learner: identity, purpose, values, imagination, and belonging. SCP welcomes people across beliefs and backgrounds. Socratic pedagogy, dialogue, and reflection help students examine ideas and develop their own understanding.
Language activates authorship
Invite learners to interpret a text, question its assumptions, and express a perspective of their own.
Agency grows from within

Practice before proclamation.
Royal taught and served in Nairobi in 2017 and first visited the Espoir School of Life in February 2024. Returning in February 2026 as a guest educator and SCP facilitator, he led students through poetry centered on identity, agency, and authorship.
He then facilitated professional learning for school leaders, teachers, staff, and student teachers—helping the community recognize and strengthen the soul-centered practices already present in its work.
